
Chocolate Cookies
Chocolate cookies are all time classic cookies. Perhaps the most loved flavor in cookies is Chocolate. Be it, kids, grown-ups, most people drool just at its classic taste. Simple to put together, ready in a jiffy.
Ingredients
- 100 grams Maida
- 25 grams Cocoa Powder
- 10 grams Corn Flour
- 100 grams Butter
- 80 grams Powdered Sugar
- ¼ teaspoon Baking Soda
- ¼ teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
- 2 tablespoons Dark Choco Chips
- 1 tablespoon Milk
Instructions

Ensure that all ingredients are at room temperature.

Sieve the maida, corn flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and baking powder in a bowl.

With an electric whisk, Cream together the butter and sugar till it gets light and fluffy.

Add the vanilla essence and the maida mixture.

With a light hand, knead to a smooth and soft dough.

Add half of the dark choco chips.

If the dough looks little dry, add ½ to 1 tablespoon milk (as per need).

Cling wrap the bowl and refrigerate it for 30 minutes.

After 20 minutes are up, start the oven for preheating at 180 degrees for 10 minutes.

Remove the dough from the fridge and make balls of equal size.

Place on a lined baking tray and press lightly to flatten.

Garnish each with the remaining choco chips.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

Remove when the base and sides look done.

Cool on wire rack completely before storing in a jar.

Cookies will be soft when hot and will start to harden on cooling.
Recipe Notes
Add chopped walnuts and cashew nuts for variation in taste
