Winters and Corn are a made for each other combination. Corn is loaded with minerals, vitamins and fiber. It aids in digestion and gives a feeling of fullness, that keeps hunger at bay for long. It is used in innumerable dishes, raising the level to another level due to its taste, pretty look and colour.
- 2 cups Sweet Corn Kernels
- 1/2-3/4 cup Water
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 tsp Chaat Masala
- 1 or 2 pinches Rock Salt
- 1/4 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1/4 cup Onion (Finely chopped)
- 1/4 cup Capsicum (Finely chopped)
- 1/4 cup Tomato (Deseeded and Pulp removed, Finely chopped)
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
- 2 tbsp Nylon Sev
- 1 tbsp Coriander Leaves
Take the water in a pressure cooker. Heat it at full flame.
Add the corn kernels, salt to taste and turmeric powder. Cook for 2 whistles.
Shut off the flame and let the pressure release on its own.
Drain the corn and reserve any water left to use in some other dish like soup etc.
Take the corn in a bowl. Add the chopped onion, chopped tomato, and chopped tomato.
Sprinkle all the seasonings like red chilli powder, rock salt, chaat masala, lemon juice.
Toss everything well so that they get mixed up uniformly.
Garnish with green coriander leaves.
Add the nylon sev while serving else it will get soggy.
