Stuffed Veg Burger Buns Recipe

Burger Patty Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cabbage
  • 2 Potatoes (boiled)
  • 1 Carrot (grated)
  • 1/2 cup Peas (boiled)
  • 2 slices Brown Bread Crumbs
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/4 tsp Jeera Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Dhania Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • Bread Crumbs to dip the patty
  • Oil for deep frying

Bread Buns Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Oil to knead if dough is too sticky (Might not be needed)
  • 3/4 to 1 cup Water and Milk in 50:50 ratio
  • 3/4 teaspoon Dry Yeast
  • 3/4 teaspoon Sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons Tomato Ketchup
  • 4 cubes Amul Processed Cheese grated


For Burger Patty

  1. Mix all the above ingredients for Burger Patty and prepare a dough.

  2. Make small balls and flatten them.
  3. Dip in bread crumbs.
  4. Shallow or Deep fry to golden brown.

For the Buns

  1. Add sugar to the milk and water mixture.
  2. Heat it to lukewarm and sprinkle the yeast gently.
  3. Keep aside for about 10 minutes. It will rise, which shows your yeast is good.
  4. Take the atta in a big plate or dish and add the salt.
  5. Add the frothed yeast liquid to the flour and mix it up gently.
  6. Start kneading for about 12-15 minutes. Add 2 tablespoons oil while kneading.

  7. If the mixture is a bit dry add 1-2 tablespoons of milk.

  8. The flour will be very sticky at first but will come together on kneading.
  9. Keep it in an oiled dish and cover with cling wrap and keep for proofing in a warm place.
  10. Depending on the weather the dough will swell up in 1-2 hours.
  11. Gently punch it once and divide the batter into equal size balls.
  12. Roll like rotis and apply a layer of ketchup and mayonnaise.
  13. Sprinkle little-grated cheese.
  14. Keep one burger patty.
  15. Cover like we do for stuffed parathas.
  16. Arrange all such buns on a baking tray and line with butter paper.
  17. Let them proof for 30 minutes.
  18. After 20 minutes, preheat the oven to 200 degrees for 10 minutes.
  19. Apply little oil on all buns.
  20. Sprinkle white sesame seeds.
  21. Bake for 12 minutes or till Done.
  22. Serve hot.
