Veg Mayonnaise Sandwich Recipe

Veg Mayonnaise sandwich is a quick recipe and can be quickly prepared in 10 to 15 minutes. You can use different flavors of mayonnaise as well as a vegetable filling for changing the flavor of the sandwich.

Sandwiches are considered as a snack but if you have a stuffed-in good number of chopped veggies in the sandwich then who would dare to challenge its nutritional value? If you don’t have factory-made mayonnaise at home, then also you should not worry because you can easily prepare your homemade mayonnaise. It will take at most 15 minutes for you to quickly prepare a mayonnaise sauce. Yes! That’s true! You can make your own mayonnaise with the help of salt, yolks, lemon juice, and mustard. Remember, it is the magical taste of mayonnaise that makes the sandwich delicious. Homemade mayonnaise can be kept for about 1 week in the refrigerator.

  • Veg Mayonnaise Sandwich
  • 1/2 cup Carrot Grated
  • 1/2 cup Cabbage
  • 1 small Onion
  • 1 small Tomato
  • 1 Capsicum
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 4 Brown Bread Slices
  • 2 tbsp Mayonnaise


  1. Finely chop the onion and cut the tomato into small cubes. Similarly, cube the capsicum and carrot finely.
  2. Remove the crust from all the bread slices. This step is optional.

  3. Heat an iron tawa on low flame.

  4. Apply little butter on both sides of the bread slices. Toast on the tawa till light golden brown in color.

  5. Remove and keep aside.

  6. To prepare the filling, take all vegetables in a bowl. Season with salt and black pepper powder and add the mayonnaise.

  7. Whisk lightly with a fork so that it all mixes well.

  8. Place one heaped tablespoon on a slice and press another slice on top.

  9. Similarly, prepare the other sandwich too and serve immediately.

Recipe Notes

It can also be prepared without toasting the slices. But then the sandwiches cannot be kept for long as the slices become soggy. By toasting, the sandwich can be kept for a long time.

Chop the onions, carrots and capsicums into small pieces along with crust free breads

Mix mayonnaise in the vegetables. Amount of mayonnaise can be adjusted as per your liking, though it should be enough to form a paste consistency.

Mix all the vegetables with mayonnaise

You can use toasted or raw breads. Toasted bread give a better flavor with the crunch on the outside and softness in the inside.
